You´re sitting alone (or with a group) in silence. It’s okay to laugh at yourself and It’s okay not to take meditation too seriously. I think people tend to put too much pressure on themselves to become the ¨perfect” meditator, when really meditation is one of the few things that we don´t have to think or try hard to do. find a quiet place
I recommend meditating in a quiet spot, where you will not fear that people will see you. Let's be honest, people who aren’t familiar with meditation might think you are a bit crazy if they catch a glimpse of you sitting alone in silence, haha!
When you are first starting out your meditation practice, it can be difficult to relax. You may not know what to think about (or what not to think about). Guided meditations can guide you into a state of relaxation and help you to release your thoughts. Even though I’ve been meditating for years, I still find guided meditations helpful, especially when my mind is super busy or I want to experience new sensations.
