living a joyous life requires attention and appreciation of everything. here are four simple things to focus on to cultivate more joy in your life.
appreciate the "basics"
your life may not be "perfect" and you may be facing a lot of challenges, but take the time to appreciate your life. practice being appreciative of the "basic" things. be thankful for your life, your breath, your knowledge, that you woke up this morning, etc.
think of people you are grateful for
try to think of at least ten people you are grateful for. they could be from your past or your present. it could be as simple as someone who held the door for you or someone who made you laugh. think of anybody who has made an impact in your life, for example your childhood babysitter, a doctor who helped you while you were sick.
thank your challenges
without problems and unpleasant experiences, we would never seek solutions or improvements often our journey to the solution, teaches us lessons which grow us into the happy and joyous beings that we truly are.
