what a year it has been.
in 2019 I cried writing my New Years post for 2020. I knew in my heart something was going to happen, but I had no clue the extent of what 2020 would become.
well today I thought I'd share with you a new message for 2021
(thankfully no tears this time haha!)
STEP INTO THE NEW YEAR WITHOUT FEAR
Lose your sense of control of your external environment and welcome the unpredictability of life.
With the comfort knowing that all events that occur are teachers in disguise.
2020 showed us that we have limited control of what others are doing,
the laws that are implemented,
what forces impact us, etc.
2021 will teach us that despite not having control of our external circumstances,
we can control our thoughts, our emotions, and our behaviors internally.
we can move our thoughts from being fearful to being free,
we can surrender to the unknown,
and embrace the storms knowing
that there will always be lessons within.
When you lose your sense of control of the external,
knowing that you can control the internal,
you welcome the feeling of being comfortable
with the uncertainty of life instead of fighting it.
This is highly beneficial for your wellbeing & mental clarity.
How many thoughts a day do you have worried about what may happen?
How many thoughts a day are centered around fear and limitations?
Did the number of fearful thoughts increase during the spring of 2020 and decrease more towards the end?
If your number of fearful thoughts decreased
this was your body and of your spirit,
giving you permission to relax in the unknown.
Embrace that feeling of relaxation,
learn to love all parts of this upcoming year,
no matter how daunting they may feel.
